Hello, I’m Jason Lightoller , a professionally trained, accredited, insured, DBS certified, and fully qualified Civil Funeral Celebrant. I serve families across London, Surrey, Middlesex, Sussex, and Kent, and I’m always happy to travel further by special arrangement.

With a deep commitment to honouring lives with dignity, compassion, and authenticity, I work closely with families to create meaningful, personal ceremonies that reflect the unique stories of those they love. I am proud to be accredited by the United Kingdom Society of Celebrants (UKSOC), ensuring the highest standards of professionalism and care in every service I deliver.

As well as becoming a celebrant, I have spent over 32 years as a Registered General Nurse (RGN) within the NHS, working in a variety of roles across healthcare, including the ambulance service. I am still working for the NHS now as a midwife. This experience has given me a profound understanding of empathy, support, and the importance of listening qualities that are at the heart of my work as a celebrant.

In addition to my professional roles, I also volunteer as a listener with the Samaritans, offering a compassionate ear to those in need.

Raised within the Romani culture, I carry with me a deep appreciation for the richness of diversity and the unique paths we each walk in life.
